As the founder of computer science in Germany and at "his" TU Munich, he laid the foundation for this subject at the end of the 1960s with its outstanding importance today. On June 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., a bust donated by the Gerlind and Ernst Denert Foundation will be unveiled in honor of Prof. Bauer during a ceremony in and in front of the F. L. Bauer lecture hall in the Mathematics/Computer Science building on the Garching campus. Prof. Manfred Broy will give the laudatory speech.
