Which universities and colleges do companies prefer to recruit their employees from – and what do they look out for? To find out, the employer branding consultancy Universum surveyed more than 500 HR managers from companies with ten to more than 1,000 employees on behalf of WirtschaftsWoche between February and March 2023. The results are reflected in the WiWo University Ranking 2023.
TUM in first place three times
In this year's ranking, TUM finished up in first place in three of the nine subject areas surveyed. In both information systems and mechanical engineering, it defends its top position from previous years. TUM also returned to first place in electrical engineering: After ranking third in 2022, it reclaims the top spot this year.
Best career opportunities for TUM graduates
TUM graduates are thus at the top of the list in the eyes of HR managers – not only in electrical engineering, information systems and mechanical engineering. Finishing up in third place, TUM is also once again on the podium in informatics.
Overall, more and more companies rate the prospects for graduates to find a job correspondent to their degree as "very good". Since 2017, this proportion has risen from 19 to 34 percent. Moreover, 49 percent say the job prospects are "good".
