The RISC-V Embedded World Networking Evening is organized by the Chair of Electronic Design Automation (TUM) together with Stefan Wallentowitz (HM). It will take place on March 13, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at TUM. RISC-V is an open instruction set architecture for processors.

The TUM 1,000+ project week connects science and business: students work for five days in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), solve real business problems, and gain insights into company culture and challenges. They discover potential future employers.

The workshop will take place on October 6 and 7 at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. It is aimed at academics with an interest in actuarial science and mathematical finance and professionals from related fields such as actuaries, risk managers and financial engineers.

In the Central Electronics and Information Technology Lab (ZEITlab) of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT), a new large-scale instrument was inaugurated at a ceremony on January 30, 2025. It was sponsored by the company Rohde & Schwarz.

In the SwingBots project, Prof. Alin Albu-Schäffer aims to construct an energy-efficient industrial robot that utilises natural oscillations. With the Proof of Concept Grant, he plans to identify the most promising applications, develop a prototype, and assess the potential for market introduction.

The enormous computing resources needed to train neural networks for artificial intelligence (AI) result in massive power consumption. Felix Dietrich, a professor of Physics-enhanced Machine Learning, and his team developed a method that is 100 times faster and therefore much more energy efficient.

Together with CIT Adjunct Professor Dirk Heckmann, Professorship for Law and Security in Digital Transformation, the young doctoral researcher demonstrated how law can be used to shape the digital transformation.
