On July 9, 2025, we will celebrate internationality and diversity on the Garching campus with the first International Day of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) together with our students! Become a part of the International Day 2025 or let yourself be inspired by different cultures, universities, specialties and stories at our individual booths.
The International Day is a day that we want to celebrate in a spirit of friendship and thus offers no room for political conflicts.
When?
Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 12.00 – 3.00 pm
Where?
Magistrale of FMI building, Boltzmannstraße 3, 85748 Garching
For Whom?
All interested students of the CIT, regular students as well as exchange students, and employees of the TUM
Get Involved
Have you moved to Germany to study at TUM or you are currently spending an exchange semester at the School of CIT and would like to present your home country or certain cultural traditions on our International Day 2025? Or you have already been abroad for a longer period of time during your studies, for example for a semester or an internship? Then our school's International Day is the perfect opportunity for you and your team to share your enthusiasm for your home/host country or cultural traditions at one of our country or theme booths.
The idea is simple: As a country team, you will be provided with a booth (pin board, table & 2 chairs) which you can design as you wish in order to represent the diversity of your country. If you do not want to present a specific country, you can also get together in motto teams. You will also be provided with a booth, but will present a particular cultural specialty, e.g. board games or traditional clothing from different cultures.
Please register in our Moodle group (link will be published here soon) for detailed information on the procedure and organization. In the Moodle group you can also sign up for your country/motto team and get in touch with the other team members to organize the booth according to your ideas.
Drop by and Get Inspired
Are you interested in a stay abroad in a particular country and would like to get first-hand information? Or you are simply interested in the topic of internationality and would like to go on a trip around the world? Then come to the Garching Research campus on July 9 between 12.00 and 3.00 pm and stroll through the international fair in the Magistrale of the Mathematics and Informatics building.
Your fellow students will be presenting their home/host countries or cultural traditions and will be happy to answer your questions. It will certainly be interesting and exciting.
