In the “NewIn” series, newly appointed professors at TUM introduce themselves and show what they are passionate about – both in and outside of work. Stephan Krusche is a professor of Applied Education Technologies at TUM. He develops practical learning platforms like Artemis with the AI chatbot Iris to support students in their learning – with real educational value instead of just giving them the answers.

Chunyang Chen is a professor of Software Engineering and AI at TUM in Heilbronn. He develops AI-based solutions to make software more accessible – especially for people with visual impairments. His goal: greater digital inclusion through automated accessibility checks.

Majid Khadiv is a professor of AI Planning in Dynamic Environments at TUM. With his project "Automan", he is developing humanoid robots that can make independent decisions and take on dangerous or monotonous tasks – using machine learning and "embodied AI".
