There are two family rooms in the Mathematics and Informatics building, Boltzmannstraße 3, 85748 Garching near Munich.
The family room, room 03.010.22B is open to all members of the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) for self-care and external care. The agency “Rund um die Familie (R.U.F)” organizes the caregivers, the agency fees per booking are covered by the Family Service of TUM. CIT subsidizes childcare costs. Students pay a contribution of €5 per hour and employees pay a contribution of €7 per hour (sibling discount 50%). Students and employees of other TUM institutions, who are interested in flexible external childcare, please inform yourself about possible financial support options. To schedule an appointment, please contact christina.kuttler(at)mytum.de.
The following information is required:
- Dates and time periods
- Parents' name and email address
- Name and age of each child
If you are flexible in the time periods, please make a corresponding note. You may also contact us at any time if you have visitors who require childcare or if you would like to arrange childcare for guests at a specific event (seminar, workshop, conference, etc.).
You have to purchase tokens for the care. Parents are responsible for purchasing tokens for their own contribution to childcare costs at the appropriate point of sale and handing them over to the supervisor in the children's room for the appropriate number of hours. You will get the tokens from Prof. Dr. Christina Kuttler, Department of Mathematics, Boltzmannstraße 3, 85748 Garching bei München, room 03.04.040.
Room 01.05.014B is an additional family room in the Math-Informatics Building. It is available for parents or caregivers who supervise their children themselves.
