Studying abroad for a semester, double degree, internship abroad, international thesis or short stays: The TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) offers numerous opportunities to integrate international experiences into your study program.

With its 15,000 students, our school is also an attractive host for students of all nations. The wide range of English-language events as well as a personal support program help international students settle in smoothly on the campus in Garching or on the main campus downtown during their exchange or full-time studies.

Stays Abroad (Outgoings)

Discovering foreign cultures, learning new languages, making international contacts and broadening your horizons: You will benefit in many ways from a stay abroad. In addition, international experiences are a decisive competitive factor for your later entry into professional life. Promote your intercultural skills and personal development.

The CIT offers you numerous opportunities to go abroad as part of your studies. Attend challenging courses and get to know foreign study systems: TUM is part of a global network and has exchange agreements with more than 300 partner universities worldwide. We support you in your plans with competent and individual advice – and we find the right path abroad for everyone. We are also happy to answer your questions about financing a semester abroad.

Exchange Students (Incomings)

As one of the largest technical universities in Europe, we welcome numerous exchange students from all parts of the world every year. If you are enrolled at one of our partner universities, we offer you the opportunity to study at the CIT for one or two semesters via an exchange agreement. You will find a wide range of English-language courses and we will advise you individually and subject-specifically on your study plans.
