Summer fellowship at EPFL, Lausanne
The School of Computer and Communication Sciences of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) offers summer fellowships to students in their Bachelor's (need to be enrolled at least in their 2nd year) or Master's in the subject areas Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering. Participants get the chance to learn new skills and to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field while collaborating with leading senior scientists.
The internships last for about three months and usually take place between May and September (the exact period can be agreed individually with the relevant research unit). TUM students take on the responsibilty to plan their TUM degree thoughtfully with regard to the examination period at TUM in July/August. Please have a look at the mobility window section on TUM CIT Informatics for more advice on how to integrate a stay abroad in your TUM degree.
Accepted students will receive a living allowance of CHF 1,800.- per month (pro rata to the actual duration) and a refund of travelling costs (2nd class train ticket or low-cost/economy airfare). Despite the generous living allowance, please consider the high living costs in Lausanne.
The yearly application deadline is on the Sunday closest to 1st December (Anywhere on Earth).
The application deadline for internships in summer 2024 is on Sunday, Dec 3, 2023 (AOE).
