Departmental Programs (ERASMUS+, SEMP, Partnerships and DD) - Conditions and Advantages
Stays abroad via TUM CIT Informatics' student exchange programs depend on bilateral, subject-based agreements with other universities.
The ERASMUS+ program applies to partner universities in all EU countries, Switzerland, Turkey and the EEA countries. The Swiss-European Mobility Program (SEMP) has been established with Switzerland since 2014 and offers the same conditions for exchange students.
Since 2014, every student can be funded three times (!), respectively during their Bachelor's, Master's and doctorate, as part of the ERASMUS+ program for a study and/or internship stay of 2 to 12 months.
- At TUM, the TUM Global & Alumni Office coordinates centrally all ERASMUS+ scholarships.
- The SEMP scholarships, on the other hand, are awarded directly by the Swiss universities to the accepted students.
- For our partnerships overseas, TUM itself cannot award scholarships. Please check whether a scholarship from another institution is an alternative for you.
Benefit from the great advantages of our Departmental Programs:
- Simplified admission
- No tuition fee at partner university
- Recognition of academic achievements after consultation with the International Affairs Delegate before the beginning of the stay
- Academic support at the partner university
- Administrative assistance from the university abroad in finding accommodation and dealing with authorities
