ERASMUS+ Funding
An ERASMUS+ scholarship includes a tuition fee waiver at the partner university, simplified enrollment, recognition of credits earned abroad and support of the university abroad when it come to finding an accomodation or dealing with authorities. All this helps students already enormously when planning their stay abroad.
Additionally, ERASMUS+ outgoings of TUM benefit from a monthly grant for living costs depending on which Country Category (1, 2 or 3) they're in (at least €245 per month of stay - as of June 2023). The exact calculation of the individual funding amount depends on the one hand on the DAAD funds allocated in June/July, on the other hand on the duration of the stay (2, 4 or 8 months) and whether other categories ("fewer opportunities", e.g. first-generation students, Persons with Disabilities or students with children) apply. You can find further information on the website of the TUM Global & Alumni Office in the download section.
You will receive the partial scholarship automatically each month, if you have been accepted for an ERASMUS+ stay by your department. TUM Global & Alumni will contact you with further information about the scholarship, the payment and the necessary administrative steps after you have been nominated by the department.
Swiss universities award scholarships directly to students, as Switzerland no longer participates in the ERASMUS+ program.
Is it Possible to Combine the Partial ERASMUS+ Scholarship with Other Scholarships?
