If you would like to write your Master's thesis abroad, you must find a professor at the TUM Department of Mathematics who will help you set a theme for your thesis and supports your efforts to write this abroad. Maybe this person can help you to make contact with colleagues abroad. Alternatively, students can try to organize a Master's theme and supervisor at a foreign university themselves. But please remember, you must still have a theme which is acknowleged by a supporting professor at the TUM. For this purpose, please make early contact with a chair that specializes in a field matching your thesis plans.
An overview of scholarships for writing your thesis abroad can be found on the pages of the TUM International Center. The DAAD also informs you here on scholarships for travel costs, subsidies and insurance (in German language only!).
Short trips abroad
