On July 18, 2025, the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology (CIT) will bid farewell to its Bachelor's and Master's graduates at the Forschungscampus Garching. Details about the program can be found in advance on this page.

Conditions of Participation
You may only attend if you have been invited and have registered for the graduation ceremony. You will then receive a free ticket. Your attendance at the graduation ceremony is voluntary. You may bring up to two guests with you.
All graduates, for whom the TUM Graduation Office has received an application for a degree certificate by the Secretary of the Examination Board by the deadline of June 3, 2025.
Therefore, the following requirements must be met:
You must have completed all required examinations and coursework.
All grades must have been received and be valid (provisional confirmations, e.g. of passing the final thesis, are not sufficient).
These grades must be correctly assigned in the transcript of records / curriculum in TUMonline,
and the Secretary of the Examination Board of your degree program must have completed the administrative processes: You will receive an email requesting you to check and confirm your transcript. Once your response has been received, your graduation certificate will be requested at TUM CST Graduation Office and Academic Records (deadline: June 3, 2025). Please note that there are certain degree programs where additional steps are required, and therefore, more lead time should be planned, such as for programs with additional certificates or similar requirements.
This means that you must allow sufficient time for the release of your graduation certificate after your last valid coursework or grade. You can support the process by promptly responding to the email in which you are asked to verify the accuracy of your transcript. No, the save the date is not the invitation to the graduation ceremony. The save the date has been sent to all students at the CIT. The invitation per email will only be sent to the students meeting the requirements.
We cannot answer this question, as the examiners may take different amounts of time to grade the thesis. Please keep in mind you may also have to give a presentation on your thesis before it can be graded.
No, each student receives their degree certificate at an individual time from the Graduation Office. Due to the high number of graduates at the CIT, no certificates can be handed out at the graduation ceremony.
Invitation
The invitations are sent out by email to the email address saved in TUMonline by June 10, 2025. Please also check your SPAM folder.
If you have not received an invitation, this means that you have not met all the requirements. You will be invited next year.
No, unfortunately this is not possible. You will not receive an invitation and therefore cannot take part.
No, unfortunately this is not possible. You will only be invited to one graduation ceremony and it is not possible to postpone your participation to subsequent years.
Organizational Questions
You will receive the invitation in good time to apply for a visa.
The workshop will take place on October 6 and 7 at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology. It is aimed at academics with an interest in actuarial science and mathematical finance and professionals from related fields such as actuaries, risk managers and financial engineers.
